Originally from Manchester, in the north of England, I worked in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire as a teacher since 2008. After leaving university had I entered the financial services profession, working on fraud investigation. However, after trying teaching in a primary school for a week, I knew that I had found my career for life! I started out in a primary school in a very challenging part of the country, but which had excellent teachers who taught me the lessons that have always stuck with me – I teach the whole child, I give them new experiences and skills in every lesson, and make sure that I know what makes each individual child unique and special. I moved to Russia in 2016, and I am now happily married with a little boy. I am so happy tobe able to continue my career with my lovely Year Four class here at ENS. It is a pleasure to see them every day and to be part of their development.
