Before coming to Russia in 2015, I worked in my home country of England as both an ESL teacher and a chaperone for a local language company that gives excursions to foreign children visiting the UK.
Since moving to Moscow, I've worked as a full-time ESL teacher at a language school for three years, before then working at a private primary school as a foreign language teacher for another four. I've helped prepare numerous students for Cambridge examinations both in and out of school during my time in Moscow. Most of my teaching experience has been with primary school students, which is my favourite age group to work with. Helping children to set their own goals and reflect on their progress is the most rewarding part of my job.
Currently, I spend a lot of my free time studying Russian. When I'm not studying, I like to go to football matches and go for long walks in the city.
