I am South African and have been teaching English in Moscow for the past five years. My teaching journey began with music, which I taught for nine years while completing my studies in South Africa, before relocating to Moscow to continue my postgraduate education at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. I strongly believe that learning a language is similar to learning a musical instrument, as both require patience, practice and the gradual development of skills.
This belief led me naturally into English education. Whether teaching music or English, I focus on recognising each child’s individual needs and potential, supporting their development in a positive and engaging learning environment. Outside of teaching, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, studying languages, travelling and spending time in nature, which has always been an important part of my life growing up in South Africa.
