I am an English language teacher and creative educator with over eight years’ experience working with pre-school and school-age children. Originally from New York, I have a background in education and hold a TESOL qualification. In my teaching, I aim to create an environment where English becomes a natural part of communication, play and creative expression. I enjoy using songs, movement, creative activities, experiments, cooking and other hands-on activities to help children not only learn English but also develop curiosity, independence and confidence.
Much of my teaching experience has been in international education, working with children of different ages. I have taught pre-school and primary school pupils, helping them develop their language skills through play and practical experience. For me, it is especially rewarding to see a child gradually come out of their shell, begin to speak English more freely and engage enthusiastically in learning. I believe that every child has their own strengths and talents, and that a teacher’s role is to help them recognise and develop these.
Alongside teaching, I actively pursue my creative interests. I sing, record cover songs and write rap songs for children that can be used in the classroom. I also cook professionally and love turning food preparation into an engaging way to learn English. Another of my creative projects is developing my own range of scented candles and soaps. All these activities continually inspire new ideas for my work with children and show that almost any creative pursuit can become an opportunity to learn.
