Graduates 2017

On Friday, June 30, together with our friends from English Nursery & Primary School, we congratulated the graduates of the Zhukovka boarding school on completing their studies. This year, 2525 boys and girls are leaving the children’s home—most of them teenagers aged 1515–1616. We know how difficult it can be for young people to cope with this major challenge: adapting to such an abrupt change, suddenly becoming independent, and starting adult life outside the boarding school.

The Foundation’s ongoing “Graduates” programme prepares children for this moment long in advance. As part of the programme, we run socialisation classes and teach essential life skills, discuss any questions, doubts, and difficulties with the children, help them apply to colleges and universities, and, of course, present each graduate with a “Graduate Kit” at the celebratory evening. This kit is perhaps the most practical gift our young people receive. We put it together with care and attention, and parents from ENS provide tremendous support. Thanks to their donations, we purchased everything needed—small household appliances, kitchenware, bedding, hygiene supplies, and stationery—so that the graduates can settle into their new environment more easily and begin their studies successfully.

The “Children with Love” Foundation team will certainly be there to support each graduate through any life challenges, staying true to our main mission: to change the lives of orphaned children for the better.
