Chess Tournament at ENS Onegino

Weekly lessons with a coach, solving logic puzzles at home, and taking part in the “New Riga” Cup—our students prepared carefully for their main event of the year.

On May 30, an in-school chess tournament was held at ENS Onegino with the aim of improving the skills of young chess players. The tournament followed FIDE chess rules and was run using the Swiss system (4 rounds), with a time control of 55 minutes per player for the entire game. The children had been preparing for this event all year and proudly demonstrated their skills in challenging matches. Every participant received a certificate, and the winners took home well-deserved medals.
