Vladimir Putin recognised Debbie Deegan’s special contribution to strengthening peace and mutual understanding between our peoples, as well as her work in the humanitarian field, and presented her with the Order of Friendship.
Debbie Deegan’s 20 years of work with children in orphanages and with orphanage graduates deserves the highest recognition. ENS is sincerely proud of Debbie Deegan’s distinguished award and of our collaboration. We hope that the Foundation’s work with orphaned children in Russia will continue to benefit many children—and, as Debbie herself says, that one day the last orphanage in Russia will be closed.
