Three years ago, on her birthday, ENS Director Maria Yuryevna Nikolaeva asked families to donate pet food for homeless animals instead of bringing flowers and gifts—because just before winter, dogs and cats especially need support.
That’s how our wonderful charity initiative, “Pet Food Instead of Flowers,” began. For three years now, it has been collecting food and donations for the Nika Charitable Foundation’s shelter for homeless animals.
This year, we collected nearly 300300 kg of balanced dog and cat food, essential medicines for the animals, and donations totalling 64,51664,516 RUBRUB. The staff and volunteers of the Nika Foundation send their heartfelt thanks to ENS pupils and their parents, as well as to everyone who took part in the initiative. With your help, we provided the shelter’s furry residents with plenty of nutritious food and everything they need to get ready for winter.
