Results of the Charity Drive Supporting the "Nika" Foundation

A huge thank you to every parent, child, staff member, and everyone who took part in our charity drive!

In October, all ENS campuses held a charity drive in support of the NIKA animal foundation, timed to the birthday of the founder and Director of English Nursery and Primary School, Anna-Maria Nikolaeva. In many classes, children had lessons on the theme “Help and Care,” where they not only studied the origin of the word “helpful,” but also learned what selfless help looks like in practice: caring for animals and plants, helping and supporting school friends, and doing so without expecting praise in return.

A huge thank you to every parent, child, staff member, and everyone who joined our campaign. Together, we collected food and accessories for 200 abandoned dogs and 40 cats at the shelter, as well as hygiene supplies, medicines, and financial donations.

On October 25, Anna-Maria Yuryevna delivered all the gifts to the animals in Zelenograd: 200 abandoned dogs and 40 cats greeted her with loud barking, fluffy hugs, and—most importantly—grateful eyes, because animals, more than anyone, can sense sincerity and kindness. The NIKA Foundation supports the construction of a comfortable “Wet Nose” Assistance Centre for homeless animals, with visitor areas and play spaces where children can spend time with the animals.

“At ENS we give children knowledge and support their physical development, but we can only teach them to be kind and responsive with the help of parents,” the ENS Director concluded, summing up the charity drive. We are confident that the values of help and compassion are nurtured at home, and that initiatives like this will become a wonderful tradition at English Nursery and Primary School.
