Harvest Festival at ENS Onegino

An entire week at ENS Onegino was dedicated to autumn and the harvest.

On October 27, ENS Onegino held its Harvest Festival. Throughout the week, children brought food items to school: vegetables, fruit, canned goods, tea, sugar, and pasta. During lessons, the children learned how vegetables and legumes are grown, which plants are used to make tasty and healthy tea, how sugar is produced, and how wheat is cultivated and processed. The children discovered many new and interesting things, but most importantly, they became part of a larger good cause—because it is essential to nurture compassion, empathy, and care in children from an early age.

All donated items were passed on to the charity foundation “Volunteers Helping Orphans” in support of the programme “Keeping Families Together.”
