"Mr Bruce has recently been teaching all Key Stages and also used to train primary school teachers at Masters level, developing their expertise in drama teaching. He was a primary school governor for many years in the UK and worked hard to drive school improvement. He undertook research work and school development in the primary sector whilst working at The Royal Central.
Mr Bruce was previously working in Lome as Deputy Head of the British School. Here he taught drama and learning support across all Key Stages. Before that he worked in a very large, high performing academy called Nower Hill High School in London where he was Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion). He is a trained Special Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and psychometric assessor. He has trained in Elklan methodology, both with speech & language needs and also communication for ASD. He trained with Future Leaders, a preparation for Headship and had his placement year in Dunraven School where he was Assistant Head with responsibility for raising standards in Years 10 and 11.
He was Head of the School of Professional and Community Development at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama for 10 years. Before working as Head of School he was the Head of Drama at an inner-London comprehensive school and a lecturer in Drama Education from 1996 to 2003."
