Vintage Christmas: a Family Fair at The Ritz-Carlton
On December 11, ENS and the “Children with Love” Foundation hosted a Family Christmas Fair at The Ritz-Carlton hotel in support of the “Sweet Dreams” charity campaign.*
Guests found themselves at a lively, bustling fair filled with the aroma of spiced mulled wine, sweet almonds, and gingerbread. A Santa orchestra’s brass instruments announced that New Year and Christmas were just around the corner, while snow-white residents of a quaint old-fashioned town drew children and adults into games and holiday magic.
A special surprise for children was the Junior and Teen Camp ice rink, where sporty, resourceful kids played hockey with sticks, and little princesses practised figure skating—receiving plush teddy bears as gifts. The Simple Flowers bouquet workshop taught lovely girls and their mums to weave floral bracelets and Christmas boutonnieres for dads and brothers. Children ran through a fluffy snow maze to gentle harp music, while our friends at Blossom Universe decorated the space with stunning florariums.
One of the fair’s main attractions was Bonpoint’s New Year “Snow Globe,” with a line that families happily joined together. Guests in vintage outfits stepped inside an огромный шар, словно стеклянный, with a Christmas tree and falling snowflakes, and afterwards received a personalised family photo book with their names.
To the sound of ringing bells, the Antique Theatre opened its doors. Little ladies and gentlemen took their seats, looking forward to the performance “The Tangerine Angel.”
A charity auction—featuring unique lots provided by the famous French pâtisserie Ladurée in Paris, the children’s language and sports camp Junior and Teen Camp, family videographer Pyotr Madyar, the international travel company World Adventures, and ENS—raised 2,360,000 rubles. All proceeds will support the “Sweet Dreams” charity campaign, whose goal is to provide children living in the orphanage in Zhukovka, Bryansk Region, with new beds—comfortable and cosy sleeping spaces that also include drawers for personal belongings, a reading lamp, and many other useful features that will make a real difference for the children.
