Harvest Festival at ENS Onegino

On Friday, 5 October, all children celebrated Harvest Festival.

From 1 to 5 October, the week at ENS Onegino was dedicated to the themes of autumn and the harvest. On Friday, the whole school came together for Harvest Festival. Each child dressed in autumnal crimson-and-gold colours, choosing a costume of their favourite fruit or vegetable, and some even chose nature-themed outfits (a leaf, a twig, and more).

As part of their learning, children brought various food items from home and, together with their teachers, discussed which seeds different crops grow from and how they develop, as well as how and where rice and tea are grown and how sugar is produced. The children also explored how pasta is made and how bread is baked—starting with the very basics: growing wheat, processing it, and producing flour.

ENS actively supports charitable initiatives. For several years now, Harvest Festival has been held with the mission of helping families facing difficult life circumstances. All the food items the children brought to school throughout the week were donated to those families.
